Our ‘Artist of the Month’ for February is Spanish born ’Life painter’ Inma Garcia-Carrasco, who through her stunning works of art, paints human nature: naked, unprotected and pure. Portraying the raw human vulnerability, feeling exposed yet, at the same time, battling their own emotions and struggles.

Painting and creating through art gives Inma the opportunity of living many lives in one. She trained at Facultad de Bellas Artes in Seville, Spain, a very traditional art school. It was there that that she learned how to draw and understand colour and light and their pivotal role in painting.

Inma has exhibited all over the world. In London, she has exhibited at Candid Arts, Espacio Gallery and Mall Galleries.  She was a finalist in the Holly Bush Emerging Woman Painter Prize in 2018. With her painting "Desolation I" wining the People's Choice Award at the Hesketh Hubbard Society - Mall Galleries London - 2008.

Beyond the UK, she has artwork collections in Spain, Luxembourg, Italy and Japan.

It’s exciting times for Inma, because for the first time in May 2019, her most recent body of work titled "A painted touch of life" will be exhibited in London as part of a two artists show.

You can view more of her work on her website, like her page on Facebook, follow her on Instagram and watch her talk about her art on Youtube.
