Back in June 2011, we were featured in Insider's magazine article 'They Might be Giants' where the Business Insider recognised successful young ‘future’ business leaders. 42 under 42 is an initiative with the vision to unearth business gems, companies or individuals that may not yet have gained the wider attention they deserved. Six years on, we've been asked to follow up on where are we now and how are we doing.

Here's how we've been getting on -

Well, six years on and we're going from strength to strength within the Workplace Design Consultancy world. As one of few dedicated, independent workspace design companies in the UK, even globally, we’ve spent this time refining our core business offering, substantially improving our brand presence with a new website, enhancing social media presence and strategically connecting with the right clients, and of course, continuing to design gorgeous offices.

Our business has seen a significant step change in type (and size) of clients. Since 2011, we’ve undertaken projects in Bristol, Bath, Birmingham, Oxford, London and Milan! Our client base and market has migrated to a central London base, whilst retaining a strong, creative space and focus in Bristol. We’ve worked on major projects in some of the most iconic buildings in the world, such as the Gherkin, and we’re delighted to add The Bank of England and Her Majesty's Treasury (HMT) to our growing list of happy clients.

Biggest achievements? We’ve not just stayed afloat through a tough global economic period, but grown organically and consistently, year on year. We’ve been able to maintain a healthy work - life balance and been fortunate to give our staff bonuses every year without fail. Seeing our work for SEB bank published in global Frame Magazine; quoted in The Times, invited to talk at a large FM show at ExCel and referenced in numerous sector magazines was pretty fantastic too! We also were asked to undertake a research piece for Eurostar which resulted in fascinating insights into branding and connectivity within the workplace.

Investing time, energy and money into new business is always a challenge. However, with additional resources and support we’re shaping a clear direction in which to take our business and look forward to implementing exciting new opportunities for 2017.

We’re also designing improvements to our own office in London and taking our team to the Milan Furniture Fair later in the year as thanks for all their hard work. For 2017 and beyond, our plan is simple really - keep doing more of what we love.
